Perfection on own roots

For the third year in a row, Nairobi™ has won a medal for its amazing fragrance.
Of all the roses, this was the one that the judges chose at this year's International Competition in Barcelona.

What makes it even more spectacular is that this Poulsen® variety is one of our unique cutting-propagated roses.
Because it almost never happens that roses grown on their own root win prizes in the company of the oculated roses that are grafted onto older stocks.
But there are several advantages to growing on their own root.

At Poulsen Roses®, we don't choose the easy solution - but the best.

Growth: If the rose shoots from the bottom, it is always the true variety that comes up.
Climate: More resistant to severe cold; if the top freezes away, the plant will shoot the same variety again.
Development: Starts out a little slower when they are very young, but becomes stronger and more natural plants with age.
Lifespan: Own-rooted roses often live longer than grafted ones.

That's why we offer many of our roses as either grafted or as own-rooted cuttings.

Nairobi™ is one of the beautiful roses in our NATIONAL PARKS® collection of modern bouquet roses with large semi-double flowers.
All varieties have an intense fragrance - and are very profusely flowering, healthy and hardy.
The flowering is continuous and lasts from early summer until frost sets in.
They are suitable for planting in larger beds in parks and gardens.
NATIONAL PARKS® can be produced either in a cold greenhouse or outdoors.
